What do anti-wrinkle treatments involve?

To ensure you are eligible for the treatment, a full consultation will be carried out. Aims and desires will be discussed and ascertained. Before the treatment commences you will be asked to relax on the treatment couch, where your skin will be sterilised. The toxin will be injected into the face with a very fine needle. You will be asked to move your facial muscles, so we know where to inject.

How often do i need anti-wrinkle injections?

Treatments are not usually needed until every 3-6 months. Some areas may return to activity sooner depending on muscle strength. Or how much was injected and how quickly an individual process the product.

Is it uncomfortable?

The injections are usually very well tolerated and almost painless. Some patients may opt to use a numbing anaesthetic cream to make it more comfortable

After the treatment care?

Anti-wrinkle injections Botox/Azzalure take 2-3 days to start working and 2-3 weeks to see the effect. You will not see a change straight away.

  • Do not massage or rub your face for 3 days
  • Avoid vigorous exercise for 2 days
  • Avoid sunbeds and saunas for 2 days
  • Do not consume alcohol for 24 hours.
  • You may have a headache for the first 24 hours
  • you may have redness, bruising and swelling around the injection sites
